33 weeks pregnant.
I’ve cleaned out the cupboards.
Sorted out the baby clothes.
Rearranged the books and toys.
And organised my hospital bag.
Now I’m twiddling my thumbs,
Wondering what to clean out next.
I wonder – is this what it means to “nest”?
My to-do list is checked.
The room’s been painted.
The crib’s set up.
And CP has adjusted to her new bed.
I can’t remember if I’ve forgotten something.
Oh pregnancy brain, don’t show up now!
There’s still 7 weeks to go
So there’s no rush
But we’re still undecided on names;
That’s one thing left to do.
I guess it’ll come to us
When we finally see that little face.
I’m excited,
Nervous.
Hungry.
And gassy – sigh!
My tummy is so huge
It enters a room before me!
Go figure!
But, it’s the home stretch now.
So I’m waiting on tender hooks,
To get this show on the road.
Come on, baby,
Let’s see what else we can clean out
Before you arrive!
